after about a dozen tries to get in and being told the wait would be anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 1/2 hours, we finally got into to Jose Garces latest spot. (yes, i know its been open for a while and trust me we have tried!) the lovely hostess greeted us and let us know it would be about 45 minutes for a table. not having anything better to do on a Wednesday night at 830 we decided to tough it out. in the time it took us to get a drink and get comfy at the bar, the table was ready. it was less than 5 minutes!
we cozied up at a corner table at the front of the restaurant with a great view of everything going on. our server was helpful and the food was as incredible as we had heard. I started with a sangria and we split a blackened chicken cobb salad. (obviously the chicken was perfect. he is an iron chef for christsake!) we decided to get our own burgers, mine with grilled onions, hubs with blue cheese and grilled onions. and of course the duck-fat fries and cheese sauce.
everything came out in a reasonable amount of time. the meat temps were perfect. the service was fantastic. i have zero complaints!
The GM Robert was able to stop by and say hello. hes a great guy too and we will definitely be dining at VW again!
enjoy the foodporn!
